The town of Dolianova is known for its wine cellars and production of olive oil. This oil and wine tour will give you a taste of Sardinian cuisine so you can appreciate the flavours and traditions of the peasant culture.
The wine and food tour begins with a food and wine tasting at Audarya Cellar*. Owning 35 vineyards in the area, the Pala family has been maintaining the exquisite wine making for over a century. Audarya is a proud producer of D.O.C label: Vermentino, Monica, Nuragus, Cannonau. It boast a massive tasting room with fantastic view overlooking the vineyard.
The tour continues to the Romanesque San Pantaleo’s Cathedral. The impressive building is made of sandstones and still preserves many of its gothic traces from the late 13th century. Finally, we visit the Cannavera oil mill, where you will taste different variety and flavours of olive oils. The company grows organic olives and using the cold press method to produce the best quality extra virgin olive oil.
* If it is not possible to visit Audarya Cellar, a different cellar in the same area will be visited.
