Located in Puerto de la Cruz, Loro Parque is one of the most popular attractions in the Canary Islands, Spain.
Get the chance to visit the largest collection of parrots in the world. Feel the Antarctic and polar climate at Planet Penguin and say hello to hundreds of penguins. Watch the strength and agility of the magnificent killer whales in Orca Ocean. Enjoy the fun acrobatics of the dolphins or the entertaining show of the sea lions.
You may also see the vast and colourful Aquarium with over 20,000 marine species that will bring you to the exciting underwater world, including the incredible Shark Tunnel and Aguaviva – the newest spectacular exhibit introducing the fascinating world of jellyfish.
Stroll around the rich tropical gardens to discover birds and animals from every corner of the world, and see the exotic surroundings of the largest Thai village outside Thailand. Climb up to the Katandra Treetops and experience the sounds and sights in this incredible aviary where birds of different species from Australia and Asia fly freely and even feed from your hands as you walk across hanging bridges.
The park is open 8:30am-6:45pm all days of the year.
How to get there:
Puerto de la Cruz: free train service is available, departing from the station adjacent to the McDonalds. Alternatively, enjoy a pleasant walk from Puerto de la Cruz, along Playa Jardin beaches before reaching Loro Parque.
From Tenerife south:
Bus service is available from the major resorts in the south of Tenerife. Click here to find out more and to book.
Other information:
Baby pushchairs are available for €5.00 per day with €30.00 deposit (refund when returned). Most of the attractions are accessible with a wheelchair free of charge with €30.00 deposit (refund when returned). Motorized trolleys are also available for €14.30 with €30.00 deposit (refund when returned). Guests are asked to reserve for wheelchairs and trolleys in advance, at least 72 hours before visit.
Professional photographic equipment is only allowed under prior request. Guests are advised to wear comfortable shoes and to use solar protection for skin.
