From Puerto de la Cruz we take a bus to our starting point at 1500m, passing through sunlit pine forest and amazing ravines with incredible views.
With favourable weather conditions (trade winds), you will feel as if we are “about the clouds”. At this point, tree line are below us and the views opens up to the majestic mount Teide. We then arrive at the star observatory of Tenerife (about 2400m in altitude).
We stop for lunch at “El Portillo” for some delicious tapas. After the relaxing lunch break and plenty of sunshine, we will begin our exciting 2000m descent through the forest slopes towards the sea, along the western escarpment of the La Orotava valley.
The first 1000m of burning the rubbers will takes us to the exit, passing through picturesque villages and fertile fields breathtaking views. If you are still keen, we could throw in a few fun “city stair trails” in Puerto de la Cruz before finishing off for the day.

Important notes:
- If possible, please bring the following: change of clothes, arm and leg warmers (winter time), hat, gloves, wind/ rain jacket and pants (short), shoe covers, fleece vest. Also, do bring snacks and drinking water (1.5l).
