Description:

Explore the best sights in the south of Lanzarote on our guided coach tour. You will be amazed by the incredible volcanic, wine plantation, and coastal landscapes of this island of volcanoes.

We begin with a visit to the Timanfaya National Park, where you will see witness extensive lava fields created by the powerful eruption in the 18th century. At the Montaña del Fuego (the Fire Mountain), there will be volcanic demonstrations to show the force at 610º C generated just 13 meters below our feet. You will also see how the volcanic oven operates, cooking meats and vegetables using the heat produced from the earth. We then hop on the coach which takes you on around the crater, where you get the best view of the park - marvel at the spectacular volcanoes, lava tubes and fields of various texture and colors. It is possible to join a camel ride (optional) at the foot of the fire mountains (about 20 mins).

We then drive towards El Golfo, stopping at El Charco de los Clicos (the emerald lagoon). An impressive cliff edge overlooks the bay itself, and this is where Olivina, light green semi-precious stones can be found on the rocks. Tracing the rugged coastline of Los Hervideros will take us to the Janubio salt pans. Here, you will learn some interesting history and facts about the salt extraction industry of Lanzarote.

Lunch (optional) will take place in a beautiful nearby village before we move on to La Geria with its peculiar semi-circled stone walls encircling the vines. A wine tasting concludes our Lanzarote South Tour. Guests will then be brought back to the initial pickup point at around 16:00.
