Description:
Love diving? Then get qualified with PADI in this island famed for its amazing dive sites and underwater creatures. Once certified, you can join any commercial dive excursions in the world with a maximum depth of 18 metres.
The Open Water Diver course takes 4-5 days to complete. The course consists of a theoretical part, which you can opt to progress at your own pace with the PADI Open Water Manual. To save time, the theory part can be completed online in your own time and you will be supplied with the PADI Open Water - eLearning Touch - online Student registration code. The rest will be the practical part which consists of the following:
- Water skills assessment
- 5 x confined water dives
- 4 x open sea dives
You will be doing an average of 2-3 dives per day (depending on the progress of students), which takes about 4-5 hours per day. Daily schedule and timing to be confirmed closer to course commencement.
At the end, there will be an exam to assess your ability to qualify as an Open Water Diver.
Prerequisites:
- 10 years or older, parents’ consent for under 16
- A recent ‘Fit to Dive” certificate issued by a doctor
- No sinus or nasal congestion problems during the course
- That you are not catching a flight within 24 hours of performing the dive
