This hiking tour is rated Medium 2. The total distance is 6.5 km and takes approximately 5 hours (including breaks) to complete. The most challenging part of this tour is the 1 km section where you will be continuously ascending.
The hike begins at the parking lot of Mirador de Es Vedrá where we will walk for about 600 metres before the islets of Es Vedrá and Es Vedranell start to reveal themselves. We then make our way up to the Pirate Tower or Torre de Savinar for some stunning views over the coast below and the surrounding area. We continue our ascent right up to the peak of the Pirate hill before embarking down to the “spiral of consciousness”.
We then observe the abandoned sandstone quarry, where the Phoenicians used to extract stones here to build the walls of Dart Vila in Eivissa centre. Now this area is deemed magical by the hippies, and nicknamed Atlantis. After some stories and tales, we will perform a steep climb for about a kilometre up to the peak of Es Marbres (473 metres).
A short break for drink and snack later, we make our way back through Cala Llentrisca.
