This hiking tour is rated Basic1/ Medium 2 and would suit beginners. The total distance is 5.5 km and takes approximately 2 hours (including breaks) to complete. There will be a section where you will be required to walk along the edge of cliff, alertness and care is expected.
We meet at the car park of Cala San Vicente beach. This pristine beach with clear waters is surrounded rock walls, making it calm and safe especially for the young and elderly. We commence our hiking tour by walking up a stretch of road to a house on top, the impressive views of the beach below expands as we ascent. After walking around the house we take a narrow stoney path which leads us along the edge of the cliff. High level of care and concentration is expected of everyone here. Here we get to observe the various geological formations, and inspect the strata and creases that has occurred over the years.
10-15 minutes later, the hidden lighthouse gradually emerge before our eyes. This abandoned lighthouse is called Faro de Punta Grossa. We will have a break here, taking in the beautiful scenery and perhaps contemplating the life of a lighthouse back in its glorious days.
We then make our way back to the car park, where you can head to the Cala San Vicente beach for a snorkel and refreshing swim during summer (weather permitting).

- Water and snacks
- Sun protection (body and lips)
- Swimming attire and snorkelling gear (if you wish)
