This hiking excursion up the summit of Mount Teide is rated high in difficulty due to the ascents, descents and altitude level; therefore would only suit hikers who are reasonably fit. Depending on the speed of the group, the trip takes about 5 hours to complete. Hotel pick-ups commence from your hotels in Santa Cruz or Puerto de la Cruz from 08:30 and expect to return to your hotels around 15:00.
Located in the heart of the national park of the same name, Teide mountain with its peak perching at 3718m, is the highest mountain in Spain. The Teide National Park is a must-see for anyone visiting Tenerife. The park itself features impressive volcanic landscapes, one of the world’s biggest cauldron-shaped volcanic collapse, rock formations, and stunning views.
We will take a cable car up to 3,550m before commencing the summit hike. A return cable car ride of EUR26 is not included in the price of excursion.
To bring: hiking footwear, sun cream, water and food. Please also wear hiking clothing suitable for high mountains.
