Leaving from the Mgarr ferry Terminal, which is the entrance to this gorgeous island, the segway trip will bring us up to the picturesque Belvedere, ideally situated with a view over the harbor. It also gives spectacular views of Gozo’s neighbouring islands: Malta and Comino.
The road will then lead us to Qala, a really gorgeous site and a very quaint village in Gozo. Qala is one of the most visited areas on the island, due to its one of a kind, Pjazza to Ta’ Tocc, which has unrivalled views of the Mediterranean Sea’s crystalline waters.
We will then glide on to Nadur, a famous hill in Gozo, and where there are three very gorgeous natural bays: Dahlet Qorrot, Ramla and San Blas. Nadur also has excellent eateries, and a lot of people stop here to sample delicious food from the local wood stove bakeries. Here the tour will stop for a break for some delicious local food such as Ftira, one of the local items available here which you can have with some revitalizing tea. After the refreshment, the segway tour will then move onto a truly gorgeous hidden part of the island: a cave with perfect views of Ramla bay.
From here we will continue on to another famous site: Ramla l-Hamra bay. The name of this bay means, ‘red golden sand’, and the bay lives up to its name. It has a beautiful stretch of sand, and it also has deep blue hypnotizing waters. At this point, you can give yourself a pat on the back— you have made it across the length of the entire Island!
Next, we'll get back onto our segways and move onto a remote valley between the twin lush hills of Nadur and Xaghra. Here you can sample wild pears and pomegranates (in season), and other organic fruits.
Nearing the end of our segway trip, you will get to see the oldest village in Gozo, Xewkija. There is a church here with a very large dome, well worth a look. There are also amazing photo opportunities due to the magnificent display of light on the dome.
From here we will move back to the harbour, as we overlook the valley of Mgarr ix-xini. This valley was made very famous recently, due to Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie filming of the movie, ‘By the Sea’. They couldn’t have chosen a better place for sea views, and you will see why when you reach there. A truly beautiful place, its views will leave you spellbound.
