Join the 3.5- 4 hours Jewish Heritage Grand Tour and learn more about the Jewish heritage while wandering around Budapest’s sights and attractions. With the help of English-speaking local guides, you will be acquainted with the most important chapters of the history and culture of the Hungarian Jewry.
The first part of the Grand Tour follows the same itinerary of the Jewish Heritage Essential Walking Tour itinerary which showcases the Madách Square, Rumbach Street Synagogue, Dohány Street Synagogue, Jewish Museum, Martyrs’ Cemetery, Raoul Wallenberg Memorial Park, Tree of Life, Heroes’ Temple and the Jewish Centre.
We will take a break before progressing with our walking tour through the streets of the former Ghetto of the Jewish Quarter. As the guide shares with you facts and stories of this place, try to visualise the glory past of its synagogues, monuments and various kosher shops and eateries.
The Jewish Heritage Grand Tour continues as we walk towards the Carl Lutz Memorial Park before wonder pass the well-known Gozsdu Pass\age and an interior visit of the Kazinczy Street Synagogue.
To end the tour, visitors get to choose between two options:
