As tourism has steadily increased in Funchal, so too have the options available for what to do when the sun goes down. Usually, nightlife is a lot quieter during the weekdays, but Funchal certainly comes alive on a Friday and Saturday. With bars playing live music, late-night cafes and bars, and a selection of nightclubs, things can get more than a little lively. Be careful though, clubs don’t usually get going until around 1am so it’s advisable to pace yourself if you plan to start drinking early. O Molhe
