Playa de la Laja (beach)
This 1,200 metres long black sand beach used to generate some very dangerous waves a few years ago. They were so dangerous in fact, that much of the public decided to stay away from it! In the 1990’s however, a dam was erected in order to calm the current. A promenade was also built to make the area more accessible.
Today, this beach has become extremely popular with surfers and thrill seekers alike. If you fit into this group then go and check this beach out. But be warned, sometimes it can get quite rough!
