This slightly challenging walk takes you from Masca village down the steep ravine to the Masca Beach. The route can be rocky and steep so good hiking shoes are advisable, along with sun hat as you will often be exposed to direct sunlight and warm temperature. The towering rock formations that loom above you are utterly spectacular. It takes three hours to get to Masca Beach and six hours for the round trip, bearing in mind that the way back is all up hill (difficulty: high). For those who don’t fancy the round trip, water taxi traveling to Los Gigantes stop at Masca Beach to pick up weary walkers.
If you are planning on getting a boat to Los Gigantes, it is advised that you book a place onboard in advance in order to avoid disappointment. Depending on services offered, boat tickets tend to range between €10 and €20.
There are also a number of tours that will collect you from your hotel taking you up to the Masca town, guide you down the ravine, organize boat collection and after arriving into Los Gigantes, drop you back to your hotel.
