Discover the beautiful town of Masca on a quad safari adventure. This is a tour combining the Discover Teide Forest tour with a visit to Masca with delicious Canarian lunch included. The duration of the tour is 4 hours.
This Masca quad tour usually starts at 10:00 am from Santiago del Teide where you will receive your equipment and safety instructions. The excursion may have a maximum of 3 quads per guide and will go along the forest track in the heart of the pine forest which surrounds the volcanoes. On easy level tracks, accessible to all, we will find lush nature, flowers only found in Tenerife and the Canarian pine with three instead of two needles. At the level of Mount Chinyero, about 1400-meter altitude, we will stop and have a 10-minute walk through the volcanic rocks. The tour will continue on the track up to the edge and the beginning of Teide volcanic crater at 2000-meter altitude. This gives a fantastic view of Tenerife over the neighbouring islands, La Gomera and Las Palmas.
The tour will return to the departure point and continue up a winding road up towards the small village of Masca - located in the Teno mountains, landlocked in the famous cliffs of Los Gigantes. We will have a Canarian meal in a restaurant with a fantastic panoramic view of the Masca Gorge. We will also pass by the village’s Mirador (viewpoint) to enjoy more spectacular sceneries.
The quad excursion is offered in English, Spanish, Russian, and French.
Note: Minimum height to participate is 120cm. To drive a quad, you will need to be a holder of a valid car driving licence. Please wear closed shoes during the excursion.
