Description:
Discover the route to the volcanic landscapes of Tenerife on a 5 hours quad bike adventure. The tour normally starts at 10:00 am in Santiago del Teide where you will receive your equipment and safety instructions.
The excursion may have a maximum of 3 quads per guide and will go down through wooded areas and banana plantations to Los Silos, a village by the sea. You may go for a walk along the coast to discover its volcanic rock pools. The quad tour will go along the seashore of more than 30 kilometres of wild coasts, an area where the sea strikes the shore violently, dotted with volcanic rocks, small bays, and black volcanic sand. This is an ideal place to learn how to trail on the rough ground and cross natural obstacles.
For lunch, the tour will head to El Mirador, a restaurant in El Tanque perched on top of the cliffs, with panoramic views over the whole valley. After a sumptuous Canarian meal, we continue our quad journey up to the heart of the last lava flow of the Chineyro volcano, then head to the slopes of the Teide National Park. We will climb the Teide volcano on tracks surrounded by the dense pine forests, flowers, scented plants and other rich flora. The tour will head up to 2200-meter altitude, until the Teide crater, where the vegetation disappears, leaving volcanic rocks to surround Teide.
The quad excursion is offered in English, Spanish, Russian, and French.
Note: Minimum height to participate is 120cm. To drive a quad, you will need to be a holder of a valid car driving licence. Please wear closed shoes during the excursion.
