Description:
Set yourself up for challenging road bike adventure in the north of Tenerife and be rewarded with spectacular panoramas of Mount Teide. This demanding road bike tour tests your ascent skills on the grueling ‘Wiggins’ climb, famously attempted by Bradley Wiggins, direction Mount Teide. As you ascend the National Park of the same name, with average altitudes of over 2000m, the pristine views of East and West coasts of Tenerife will mesmerise you.
The tour takes about 5-6 hours to complete. There are three versions of this tour to suit different fitness levels. You can bring your own road bike or hire one of the following:
Standard road bike: Aluminium frame with a Shimano 105 triple group set with 30 gears.
Professional road bike: Carbon, Shimano Ultegra compact group set with Mavik Aksium wheel set.
VIP road bike: (Carbon, Shimano Dura Ace compact group set with light weight wheel set) or a VIP Di2 bike.
