Description:
Located on the west of Tenerife and forming part of the Teno mountain range, Masca is one of the most picturesque places on Tenerife island.
This route was once only for the strongest riders but thanks to the electric mountain bike, it is now accessible by cyclists of all levels. The Masca road bike and E- Mountain Bike tour begins at Chio or 7 kilometres north of Santiago del Teide.
We will ascent through the stunning valley of Valle de Arriba before descending towards the charming Garachico, a city which as almost buried by lava from the 1706 volcano eruption. The town boasts unique lava rock pools which are refreshing to swim in during summer. We continue our cycling tour to Buenavista del Norte from here we will begin our gruelling ascent to Masca.
Be prepared for the deep ravines, hairpin curves and greeneries as we paddle up Masca. There will be opportunity to stop for photographs in Masca.
Riding in the middle of Teno is a unique experience on its own and so is the forthcoming gruelling climb of 380 metres in 3.5 kilometres out of Masca. Don't worry if this section is not for you as we have a vehicle on standby to take you.
It is time for a break, we will have lunch of typical Canarian in Santiago del Teide. Afterwards, a 32 kilometres journey awaits you back to Playa de las Americas.

Minimum age to join this bike tour is 12 years old. Under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. If you have your own bike, you can still join us and with the TOUR-only option.
