Description:
Jungle Park in Las Aguilas, south of Tenerife is a 75,000-square meter park of rich and vast zoological and botanical jungle with over 500 animals. You may explore through its pathways, tunnels, crossing track, and hanging bridges, to visit the wonderful environment of waterfalls, lagoons and caves, and experience being surrounded by the vibrant flora and fauna of this region.
Get to know the different birds in this jungle in their Bird of Prey show – the fast and strong hunting eagles, the powerful lure-flying falcons, and the strong vultures. There are also other variety of colorful birds from around the world like marabous, cranes, ibises, flamingos, swans, storks, large and small parrots, macaws, plus an abundance of exotic birds.
Meet the primates and be amazed by their abilities and mannerisms. You will find orangutans, gibbons, lemurs, Capuchin monkeys, Titi monkeys, and other exotic unique primates like the squirrel-like Saimiris, Siamang from Asia, and the white-bearded Debrazzas.
Big cats like leopards, jaguars, and pumas may be found in the park. Among these cats, two white lions from South Africa are the most famous. Their species are currently endangered.
Another favorite in the jungle park is the Sea Lions show. The exhibition is composed of 6 female and 3 male sea lions showing off their tricks and skills.
Kids will also love feeding the penguins – watch how these adorable flightless birds eat and interact with each other and their habitat. One of their newest exhibitions also features a show of sea lions.
Other animals may also be found like meerkats, raccoons, and reptiles – including the largest and most ferocious, crocodiles.
The Jungle Park is open year round, everyday, at 10:00am to 5:30pm.
