Description:
In order to join the many fantastic recreational diving excursions (anywhere in the world), you need to first be a qualified Open Water Diver. What a better way to get qualified than while holidaying in Lanzarote island? Under the constant supervision of a qualified PADI/ ACUC instructor, you'll be coached step by step into the underwater world - a fascinating world with its own laws.
The Open Water Diver course usually takes 3-4 days, depending on how prepared the students are to commence their first dive. Day 1 will be theory only and the rest will be practical and theory on-site as follows:
- 4 x confined water dives of 30 minutes (your instructor might combined these to 2 x dives of 1 hour). Confined water are normally carried out in a swimming pool but given the proximity of our dive centre to the sea, we will perform these dives in the sea - the real diving environment!
- 4 x open sea dives
You will be doing an average of 2 dives per day (again depending on the students), which takes about 3 hours per day. We endeavour to be flexible with the daily timetable.
At the end, there will be an exam to assess your ability to qualify as an Open Water Diver.
