Overview of Playa Blanca
Playa Blanca is a nice resort in Lanzarote with lengthy waterfront promenade framing its sandy beaches and coastline. Although not as popular as Puerto del Carmen, it is more relaxing and well facilitated with plenty choices of accommodation, restaurants, cafes and nightlife. The recently developed Marina Rubicón has certainly adds to the spark of the resort with its high end docks, boutique shops, restaurants and leisure activities.

Located in the southern part of Lanzarote and only 30 minutes drive away from the airport, Playa Blanca is a convenient holiday resort for those who are keen to explore the volcanic region of the island. The El Golfo’s emerald lagoon, the impressive coastline of Los Hervideros, the colourful Salinas de Janubio salt plains and of course the Timanfaya National Park, are all within 30 minutes drive from Playa Blanca. Not just that, Playa Blanca is also the “gateway” to the neighbouring island of Fuerteventura, with ferry crossing taking just 25 minutes to Corralejo.
And let’s not forget about the Papagayo beaches located just a few kilometres east of Playa Blanca - a series of untouched beautiful beaches - considered the best on the island.
