Things to do in Costa Teguise


Costa Teguise resort is excellent whether you like to chill out and relax in the sun or enjoy an active holiday. There are good conditions for various water sports and a number of schools offering surf lessons. You can also play golf or participate in the numerous tours and excursions available to visitors. Children will be delighted to explore marine species in the Aquarium or brave the exciting water-slides in Aquapark. For nature lovers, there are hiking excursions to explore the stunning volcanic landscapes of this island of fire.
Lanzarote Aquarium
With 33 aquariums and hundreds of marines spread across its property, Aquarium Lanzarote is the largest aquarium in the Canary Islands. Various species of sharks can be seen gilding through the underwater tunnel and the 400,000 litre capacity central tank. Children will be amused by different kinds of colourful marine species the likes of clown fish, fire ballon, and star fish. There are also three ‘hands-on’ aquariums for closer encounter with selected sea creatures. For those who dare, diving with sharks can be done at €149 per person per dive.

Mountain biking
Costa Teguise's location on the middle of Lanzarote 's east coast makes it an ideal starting point for mountain bike excursions. Rent a bike and explore the islands diverse landscapes independently, or join a mountain bike tours with the likeminded.
My Lanzarote
This mountain bike centre hire out mountain bikes to children and adults. Prices start at €5 for a child's bike for the day, and €25 for a fully-equipped adult bike. Discounts are given for longer rentals (i.e.: 3, 5 or 7 days). The centre also offer guided tours through some of the most stunning sceneries on the island, including lava flows and rock gardens.

Aquapark
Aquapark is an excellent attraction for families with young children. This water fun park festures numerous exciting water slides and pools to keep the young and old amused. Other facilities available are lifeguards, changing rooms and restaurants. Aquapark also offers paintball games from €10 per person for half an hour (a minimal of 8 participants is required to commence the game).

Windsurfing
Costa Teguise has been dubbed 'windsurf paradise' for its excellent wind conditions, warm climate and water temperature. The strong but consistent trade-winds especially during summer time, has seen countless windsurf enthusiasts practising their skills in the crystal clear waters of Costa Teguise. The areas around Playa de las Cucharas and Playa de los Charcos in particular are the favourite wind surfing spots. Every year, Professional Windsurfers Association (PWA) windsurfing world cup is being held here, gathering even more crowd to the resort. There are a few windsurfing centres in Costa Teguise offering equipment rentals and courses from beginners to advanced levels.
Windsurf Paradise Lanzarote
The windsurfing centre is located on the Playa de las Cucharas beach offering the latest equipment and top quality instructors. If you want to learn or improve your skills you can choose from attending small group session or pay extra for individual coaching. The school is a member of the International German Windsurf School Association and offer courses for beginners. They have an international and dedicated team of instructors both male and female who are extremely enthusiastic about the sport.

Golf
While playing on the 18 hole golf course, you can enjoy the spectacular views of the Lanzarote Lanscape. The golf course was designed in 1978 by the renowned architect John Harris. Green fees cost €68 and there is also a driving range and club rental facilities. Lesson and course are available for all levels and ages, 30 minute golf lessons start from €23.
