Explore the remote corners of La Palma on our caving tours in the interiors of the island. We introduce you to the little known beauty of secluded volcanic tubes and natural caves in La Palma. Ideal for children from the age of 6 and adults, these tours are designed and guided by experts who possess thorough knowledge of the island. Our certified guide will pass his/her technical knowledge of Speleology and explain everything you want to know about these places.
We offer three different levels of caving excursions, namely basic, intermediate and advanced:
Beginner Level: Featuring easy route and minimum physical exertion, this tour is ideal for anyone above the age of 6. It involves only walking and is chalked for limited challenges but outmost amount of fun. Children can join only under adult supervision. The duration of this caving tour is 2-3 hours*. The route undertaken in this tour is not tedious and would suit all fitness levels.
Intermediate Level: This caving tour is suitable for anyone above the age of 9, also with adyult supervision. It is ideal for beginners looking for extra challenges on their first expedition. The tour features horizontal progression, narrow passages and downward climbing, which may be quite demanding for few. This intermediate tour takes 3-5 hours* to accomplish.
Advanced Level: This is the most challenging caving expedition of all levels and feature both vertical and technical horizontal progression. It is recommended for people with some amount of skills in caving or strong inclination towards adventure sport. The tour spans over 6-9 hours* with high amount of exertion involved. Participants of this advanced caving tour are expected to be fairly fit. Suitable for 16 years and above.

Please bring: Dress up appropriately as some tough challenges lie in store for you, wear proper footwear, sun protection, water and food for the duration of excursion, and a jacket/ extra layer especially during winter.

- Speleology excursion of your choice (Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced)
- Qualified and experienced guides
- All gear and equipment: helmet, head torch, safety equipments, harness, ropes etc
Price does not include:
- Optional transportation fee of EUR8 per person
- Food and drink
Important notes:
- Due to high demand, your reservation will be confirmed manually. Should your preferred date is fully booked (and no suitable alternatives dates available), iHoppers will provide full refund of deposit paid.
- Best activity location will be decided closer to time subject to weather and coastal conditions. You may drive to the agreed activity point yourself or arrange with Palmaventura for pick up at an additional EUR8 per person, payable on day of excursion. Map indicated below is NOT the actual activity point.
