Restaurants

There are a huge number of restaurants offering food of every kind. In fact, it is entirely possible to have a different nationality of cuisine every evening of your stay in Playa del Inglés. The restaurants can be found in the town centre and also within the entertainment complexes of Yumbo, Kasbah and Anexo II. For more relaxed and traditional dining you may wish to head to the neighboring town of Maspalomas, where the restaurants are more peaceful.

Yumbo shopping and entertainment centre

At Yumbo, during the day, you will find shopping of every kind as well as street performers and bazaar style stalls. By early evening, continuing through until the early hours of the morning, the abundance of bars and clubs in this centre come to life. This is a major destination for gay tourists however many of the themed bars are popular with all visitors. There is also a wide range of entertainment in the way of dance performance and singing.

Kasbah shopping and entertainment centre

Kasbah is a similar leisure centre with plenty of shopping opportunities.  The night life here is geared towards the general tourist with a number of bars with every type of music, including a salsa bar providing lessons throughout the evening. More lively bars are a target for the younger tourist and play a wide range of music, drinks and price offers. If you are out for a good time the Kasbah will not disappoint. Be aware of touts who will be on a mission to get you to their establishments, particularly men, who will be targeted by the strip bar touts.

Anexo II shopping and entertainment centre

Anexo II is an entertainment centre, like Yumbo and Kasbah but is on the beach front, giving it a more relaxed and casual atmosphere. The shops are filled with beachwear and you will also find a pool and a gym within the complex. The centre is situated at the North end of Playa del Inglés making it a very busy area day and night. If you are looking for a little more adventure during lazy beach days the Anexo II is the water sports hub of the beach. Prices vary but there are jet skis available, costing between €25 and €40, as well as pedalos and banana boat rides. If those are not daring enough, skydiving and paragliding are also available.

Nightlife

As a self confessed ‘sun and fun’ resort, Playa del Inglés has a huge choice if you want to party the night away.  Most of the bars and clubs can be found in the Kasbah or the Yumbo centre. In both centres there are a variety of choices and in Yumbo there is a predominant gay scene. Very recently, the famous Pacha nightclub opened its doors, adding to an already extensive choice in clubs.
