Description:

***October to June***

Join the Gran Canaria's Natural Triangle hiking tour which covers the Caldera de Los Marteles, Tirajanas and Guayadeque’s Valley in one walk. The walk begins at Caldera de Los Marteles which features a wide crater measuring over half a kilometres in diameter and 80 meters in depth. Right from the start, you will be impressed by the stunning sceneries of the Roque de Tenteniguada as well as the volcanoes of La Isleta from afar.

We will continue our hike towards the upper side of Guayadeque and be awed by the expansive walls of the valley. The Guayadeque's valley has gained interest not only from its geographical highlight (the massive size of its walls), but also from the its endemic plant species as well as the pre-hispanic inhabitants whom used to live here. These early inhabitants were engaged in farming activities and had left behind impressive terraces of farmlands which still look great today. In present day, majority of the valley’s inhabitants live in comfortable caves.

The nature's triangle hike continue towards the Guayadeque’s mountains. En-route, we can observe endemic floras such as Tajinastes, Veroles and Marganzas. Almond trees are also prominent in this area with thousands of almond flowers in full blossom between the month of February and May.

As we arrive at the top of the mountain, we will be rewarded with beautiful scenery of the massive crater of Caldera de Tirajanas, the mountain range of Amurga and the stunning valley of Fataga. After taking in all these beautiful sceneries, we will return to our starting point through a stroll in the Canarian pine forest.
