Founded by Juan Rejón (head of the Castilian army) in 1478, Vegueta de Santa Ana is a beautiful historical quarter with fascinating gothic charm.The winding alleys and cobbled streets are dotted with well-preserved historical monuments and buildings, making it a national heritage of historical and artistic interest in 1973.
In this one hour educational walk through Vegueta, our knowledgeable guide will be sharing historical facts and stories while pointing you to various historical monuments and points of interest like the Cathedral de Santa Ana, Columbus Museum, noble houses, and plazas and streets of historical importance.
Our itinerary is created in such a way to allow you to see and experience the most in this one hour tour on foot.
At the end of the tour, there is option to spend more time either at the cathedral or the Columbus Museum or continue exploring the city on your own.

Meeting point and time: Plaza Hurtado de Mendoza (more popularly known as Plaza de las Ranas) in Vegueta. Please arrive 10 minutes prior to start time and wait by the fountain and the kiosks.
