The Capital Circus of Budapest is located in the City Park of Budapest with close proximity to the Vajdahunyad Castle, Budapest Zoo and the Széchenyi Thermal Bath. Inaugurated in 1889 in Városliget, this only stone circus in Central Europe had moved several times before finally settled in its current location in 1971.
The circus show features clown, juggler, balancing, aerial, animal acts and much more. Given it is a stone circus, Since it is a stone circus, it can be visited in any weather and season.
We begin our 2019 year with a fiery theme - PHOENIX - CIRCUS OF FIRE (until March 2019)
The mythological creature Phoenix has always intrigued the hearts and the fantasy of many throughout the history. Enjoy a spectacular and mystical circus production featuring the fire element, illusions and exotic animals. Directed by the Rippel Brothers - Ferenc and Viktor, and performed by the legendary Hungarian artists, this show in the Capital Circus of Budapest will surely invoke magical moments using the fire element.
Every year between late October to the end of December, you can enjoy the special Sparkling Sprites- Christmas Adventure in the Circus. During this time, circus artists from around the world would gather to combine their talents in performing a magical tale of Christmas. This show will be an unforgettable experience for the whole family.

Duration: the normal Circus show last about 2 hours while the special Christmas story is slightly longer at 2.5 hours.
