Description:

Experience Hungary’s exquisite and world-class music from the country’s best concert artists. The organ concert includes classical melodies lead by the talented Milkós Teleki, who is regarded as one of the best organ artists in the country. The arias of the program are performed by 1992 Kossuth Prize winner, Kolos Kováts, a famous concert and oratorio singer. The flute artist is Eleonóra Krusic, who is known for her performances with different noted orchestras, from Barcelona to Zürich, Graz and Vienna.

The concert is held at the neo-classical St. Stephen’s Basilica – one of Budapest’s most significant religious and tourist attractions. The church is the third highest building in the country. The construction of the church started in 1851, under the guidance of one of the greatest Hungarian architects, Miklós Ybl, and it was completed by József Klauser in 1905. In the next 50 years the cathedral suffered from wars, storms and earthquakes. The final reconstructions lasted from 1983 to 2003.

Every concert starts at 8:00 pm. It lasts about 70 minutes, without intermission.
Meeting point: Guests are requested to arrive at 7:30 pm at the entrance of St. Stephen’s Basilica (1051, Szent Isvtán Square 1). There will be people outside the door to greet you.

Optional pickup and drop off service available.
