Description:
If you are a chocolate lover and like all-things-chocolate, then you should not miss this tour while in Budapest.
Be greeted by a chocolate fountain as you arrive at the museum. Take a delicious sweet, let it run under the gooey cocoa-liquid and savour it. We then continue to the Rákóczi Knight hall to marvel at the collection of the Knight's paintings and sample a special Hungarian chocolate.
Listen to some fascinating chocolate tales as we stroll the Square of Chocolate with window displays from the turn of the last century. Here, we will try special chocolate from Gerbeaud - one of the biggest and most traditional brands in Budapest.
Next is the Rákóczi Cellar, where we will browse through a display of old-age Hungarian spirits and liquors. Guests will have the opportunity to sample the typical Hungarian Pálinka. Those under 18 will get to taste chocolates instead.
Then it is time to roll up your sleeves and make some chocolate. Experiment with various fillings and come up with something personally yours using chilli, cinnamon, coconut, colourful candies and more. While your chocolate is getting solid, why not enjoy a hot chocolate cuppa and take a seat at the Film Museum where you will be shown a short film clip about chocolate. More chocolate sampling will be available during this time. Afterwards, there will be an informational session where you'll get to ask some questions.
We proceed to visit a genuine replica of the Stühmer Chocolate Shop on the museum site where there will the opportunity to purchase Europe's best chocolate in the shop. After visiting the model-shop, table with candlelights awaits at the Rákóczi Knight Hall. Try our speciality warm cookies, and enjoy it will your choice of our unique teas.
Your personal chocolate will be ready by now, placed in a special gift box, ready to be collected and taken home by you along with a chocolate gift pack.
